Scope Of Work

PBG Builders was awarded the contract to build a new Fixed Base Operator (FBO) terminal building on the grounds of the Clarksville – Montgomery County Regional Airport at Outlaw Field. Since this project involved an active airport, there were specific Federal Aviation Administration Requirements that had to be met relative to the utilization of construction cranes, rigorous debris control to prevent intake into aircraft engines and a number of other safety related requirements that shaped the project from inception. The project included an extensive site work package, structural steel building frame with EIFS exterior and new interior finishes for a corporate business center. During the course of the project, two significant alterations to the plan occurred.  The first one involved the suspension of a full scale Staggerwing aircraft model from the center atrium that created substantial scheduling challenges. The second alteration concerned the transformation of an already constructed outdoor balcony into an enclosed business and conference center complete with facilities to support the hosting of events. Additional project work items included the relocation of an existing hangar building, new parking lot, site improvements and paving of existing runway and apron areas.
