Greg Bohlin has been employed by Lamp Incorporated since 1987. Originally employed to be a project manager with minor estimating responsibilities. Greg took on the additional responsibilities of Labor Coordinator in 1989 and currently serves as Vice President of Construction. Greg has a BS in Construction Management from Oklahoma State University. He has also attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics; he has his pilots and airplane mechanics license. He has attended the Fails Management Institute, the World of Concrete Seminars and is OSHA Safety certified.

Outside of the office, Greg is a member of the Associated General Contractors of America, the Fox Valley Associated General Contractors, and the Construction Management Association of America. He is also a Board Member of YMCA Camp Edwards, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Elgin, an AWANA Leader, and a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association.

Ian Lamp began his career with Lamp Incorporated in 1983 as an Estimator and Project Manager, then Vice President of Marketing & Sales and is currently President. Ian has a BS degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University. He has attended Lorman Education Services classes, the Falls Management Institute, and Jack Miller Seminars. His daily responsibilities include business development, long-range planning, sales presentations, proposals, and owner negotiations.

Outside of the office, Ian is active as the Chairman of the ECC Foundation, Fox Valley Associated General Contractors Vice President, and the Illinois Construction Industry Councils president.

Chad Alexander joined Lamp Incorporated in January of 1995. He has been instrumental in developing our computerized Construction Management Report System. He has a BS in Construction Management from Oklahoma State University. He worked for a contractor in Stillwater, Oklahoma for several years, and then opened his own construction company in Bloomington, Illinois. He is a Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician from the American Concrete Institute. He has attended Risk Management and Dispute Resolution seminars, OSHA seminars, and is LEED AP BD+C accredited.

Outside of the office, Chad is a member of the Associated General Contractors of America, and the Fox Valley Associated General Contractors. He is the past President of the Huntley Rotary Club, member of the United States Green Building Council, and is on the Huntley School District Foundation.

Greg has worked in the construction industry since 2011.  He started as a yard foreman, moved up to superintendent, and estimator, after obtaining his BS in Construction Management. He was trained in Revit 3D Modeling as well as Navisworks for 3D coordination use in estimating. Also our safety manager, Greg has completed the 145 hour Safety Administrator Course at Construction Safety Council, along with OSHA and first aid training.  His versatility and ability to adapt makes him a great asset to our team.

Rachel joined Lamp Incorporated in 2014 as an Administration Assistant, moved up to Assistant Project Manager, and next joined the estimating department where she works on Construction Management and General Contracting projects.  She received her BFA in Management with a Minor in Business from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2010, and worked as a sales manager for six years before beginning work at Lamp Incorporated. She received her BAS in Construction Management in October of 2015.

Tom McGrath graduated from Illinois State University in 2007 with a degree in Industrial Technology, focusing on Construction Management. Tom started his career in estimating with Lamp Incorporated.  He has been responsible for the preconstruction services of over $150,000,000 in Construction Management projects, and has bid over $50,000,000 in General Contractor Projects.  OSHA Safety certified, Tom has attended the Fails Management Institute Pricing and Bidding Strategy Seminar, is trained in Microsoft Office Project Scheduling, Timberline, and is LEED AP BD+C accredited. Recently, Tom was promoted to Senior Estimator due to his work ethic, estimating accuracy, and ability to work cohesively with the owner and architect.

Chris has been employed by Lamp Incorporated since 2008 as a carpenter and project superintendent. He has been in the construction industry since 1986, working as a carpenter, foreman, and superintendent on various projects. His extensive experience and knowledge on a multitude of projects makes him an asset in the field. Experience partnered with his work ethic, excellent people skills, and resolve aids Chris’s projects to be successful.

Dan Fraas began his career working as a full time carpenter for Fraas Carpentry, a family owned building and remodeling company. He has worked for Lamp Incorporated as a Foreman since 2005, and as a Superintendent since 2007. Dan is OSHA Certified, has additional Safety Training, has taken Elgin Community College welding courses, and continuing education through the Carpenter Apprenticeship Program. Dan is disciplined, conscientious, well organized, has a good positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Dan’s ability to effectively communicate project details and progress to the customer has made him one of the favorites among Lamp Incorporated’s clients.

Outside of the office, Dan is a member of the Associated General Contractors of America, the Fox Valley Associated General Contractors, and Carpenters Local Union #363.

Darren began his career in the construction industry in 1985 as a carpenter. He swiftly moved up the ranks to foreman and since 2005 he has been running a variety of work as a project superintendent. Darren is recognized for his professionalism and attention to detail from the initial plan review, lasting throughout the entire construction process. Darren produces solutions to complex construction situations, and always puts the customer’s needs first.

Derek Soderlund has been employed by Lamp Incorporated since 2004, working as a Carpenter, then Foreman, and then promoted to Superintendent. Derek attended the Carpenters Union Apprentice Program through Local Union 363, is OSHA Certified, has scaffolding training, and continues to attend many construction seminars. He is well respected for his hard working, cooperative style and dedication to the Owner’s project. Derek works very well with Owners and Trade Contractors to maintain a well-organized and orderly project.

Outside of the office, Derek is a member of the Associated General Contractors of America, the Fox Valley Associated General Contractors, Carpenters Local Union #363, and is a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.

Jay has been employed with Lamp Incorporated since 2013. He has 27 years of construction experience and has proven to be an asset to every project. He has a wide range of experience in both new construction and renovation with park districts, schools, and other municipalities. His exemplary customer service skills, and enthusiasm in solving problems, prove him to be an outstanding addition to any team.

Maureen Weeks is a Project Manager Assistant and has been working at Lamp Incorporated since 2003. She has 21 years of experience in the construction industry and went to Roosevelt University to become a paralegal. Outside of Lamp Incorporated Maureen is very active in her church, children’s school events, and other community service projects.

Rachel began working with Lamp Incorporated in 2012 as an Administrative Assistant and moved to the role of Project Manager Assistant in 2014. Rachel earned her AA from Elgin Community College in 2010 and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication in Judson University with an emphasis on Business in 2012. She is a Trustee Leadership Scholar and Athletic Scholarship recipient, as well as a World Leaders Forum Student Representative.

Steve Werling began his construction career in 1981 after two years of studying Engineering at Bradley University. He joined Lamp Incorporated as a Carpenter in 1991. Over the next several years, due to his exceptional work ethic and communication skills, Steve was promoted to Project Superintendent where he continues to excel today.

Steve Lamp joined Lamp Incorporated in 1988 and serves as the MIS Director, Personnel Director, Insurance Coordinator, and assumed the title of Secretary/ Treasurer from his father, Eugene C. Lamp. His responsibilities include financial and accounting duties, office management, and maintenance of the construction management software. Steve has a BA in Accounting and Data Processing from Western Michigan University. He has attended the American Management Association, Fails Management Institute Total Quality Management Seminar and their Leadership Academy.

Outside of the office Steve is the Past President of the Construction Financial Management Association and St. Edwards Catholic High School Booster Club. He is a member of the Associated General Contractors of America, The Fox Valley Associated General Contractors Education Committee, The Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Rotary Club, and the United Way Funding Panel as a Co-Chair.
