Scope Of Work
DESCRIPTION:
The U.S. Pentagon Renovation is a phased design/build project of over 4 million square feet of space at the existing facility. Once completed, all areas of the building will be in compliance with modern-day building, life safety, ADA and fire codes. Overall scope of the project includes removal of all hazardous materials, replacement of all building systems, the addition of new elevators and escalators to improve vertical circulation, installation of new security and telecommunications systems, and utilities for future occupation of the Pentagon’s basement and mezzanine. The project, underway since 1998, is on an accelerated schedule for completion in February 2011, four years sooner than originally planned.
