Scope Of Work
TIC, a subsidiary of Kiewit, was awarded the contract to build the O’Connor Gas Plant. The plant was designed for an initial capacity of 110 million cubic feet per day (MMcfd). Before completion, TIC was awarded a second contract to construct the expansion to 160 MMcfd.
The O’Connor Plant is a deep-cut cryogenic plant situated in the growing Niobrara shale play that is part of the rapidly expanding liquids-rich DJ Basin. The O’Connor Plant is part of an eight plant system owned by the DCP enterprise, with total system capacity of approximately 600 MMcfd
Installed five compressors and equipment as part of the plant expansion to 160 MMcfd
Even with extreme weather challenges, the project finished on schedule
