Scope Of Work
Size of Project: 18 Buildings; 61,000 square feet
Type of Project: Foam Roofing to 18 buildings
Specification: 2.7lb Foam Sprayed at 1.5”. Elastomeric Coating System installed over foam @ 3 gallons per square.
Assignment: Install a spray foam roofing system over 20 year old existing gravel roofs. Provide owner with a 10 year leak free warranty.
Solution: Cool-Roof Systems installed 1.5” of sprayed polyurethane foam to each individual gravel roofing system on each building. The challenge of the project was the 20 year old substrate that had to be properly cleaned and prepared to accept the foam roofing system. A specially designed vacuum truck was used to remove approximately 40,000 pounds of loose gravel. Over 7,000 lineal feet of edge flashing was replaced to accommodate the new foam system. The roof has a current 10 year leak free warranty that covers labor and material.
