OUR HISTORY

How far back can we go? Well, our fathers first got involved in the scrap business back in 1936!!! They then opened MID CITY SCRAP CO. in 1951, in Westport, MA. They built it into a terrific scrap recycling operation, and when their sons came on board in 1976, they got involved in the new steel business. Over the next three decades, MID CITY STEEL has developed into a strong regional steel service center. Today, MID CITY STEEL has a team of over thirty terrific professionals, a fleet of ten delivery trucks, and a “CAN DO!” attitude that always puts the customer first!
