Scope Of Work
The Seward Johnson Center for the Arts, offers a variety of meeting and event spaces in a versatile contemporary facility suitable for weddings, retreats, meetings, corporate and private events. This project included the conversion of existing unfinished “warehouse” space into a state-of-the-art gallery and event space. With a simplicity of design that is accentuated by a picturesque view of the sculpture park and the large-scale sculptures indoors that lend a sophisticated museum ambience. The work included the complete finishing of approximately 12,000 square feet of space for exhibits and special events including new façade treatments, new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, a new commercial kitchen and finishes. The design and construction also included acoustical engineering measures, treatments and enhancements to facilitate the optimal use of the gallery for a wide variety of events.
