Tom Purtell is Chief Executive Officer of SiliconX Construction. He’s responsible for overseeing every aspect of the general contractor’s operations — from managing all business and financial matters to ensuring that the company’s superintendents keep every project on budget and on schedule.
Tom is a long-time Borelli Investment Company executive, joining the firm as an accountant in 1995. He has worked on a wide variety of development and construction projects for Borelli — from Ringwood Business Center, AirTech and Berryessa business condos to the exclusive Club Auto Sport business community and event center and the luxurious 115-room Hilton Garden Inn Fontana, not far from the Auto Club Ontario Speedway in Southern California.
Tom also has extensive experience in property management — maintaining, marketing, leasing and repositioning when required a broad spectrum of properties for Borelli. This enables Tom to apply his unique experience and expertise as a developer, contractor and manager to meet any challenge SiliconX undertakes.
Among the many ventures to which Tom has applied his creativity and business acumen is the creation of PayablePro.com — a sophisticated information management system used by Borelli to efficiently deal with Borelli’s large portfolio of owned properties and those the company manages for third parties.
Tom earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Jose State University. He’s a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
