Scope Of Work

The work performed at the Pine Bluff Arsenal for this contract included, but was not limited to, civil construction, site demolition, earthwork, concrete construction, road construction, traffic signals, passive barriers, automated barrier arms, exterior lighting and a backup generator. Additional responsibilities included civil construction, installing traffic signals and active/passive barriers with associated safety and control systems, quality control, reporting, and scheduling.
GCS and its team designed and built multiple access control points and installed a video surveillance system controlled from three different locations, and installed a fiber optics network. Each access control point includes an automated exit and entrance kiosk, protective barriers, protective bollards, traffic control lights, pedestrian turnstiles, automated gate controls, an access control self-contained network controlled remotely from the operations center located two miles away over an extensive fiber-optic network.
The installation included nearly 22,000 linear feet of underground cable, 103 surveillance cameras, 43 new light poles, 42,560 ft.² non-organizational parking. GCS installed all fiber-optic cabling and terminations.
System and equipment installation highlights include:

• Each access control point processes nearly 500 vehicles per day
• Installed remote radio frequency entry system
• New roadway to be used as rejection Lane

• 42,560 square feet of non-organizational parking lot
