Scope Of Work
Built in 1906, Davis Hall is one of the original campus buildings and is a contributing structure within the National Register of Historic Places, Eleventh A&M Historic District. The building’s prominent location and historic value required careful consideration to ensure interior historical elements of the building were addressed in the renovations. Programming balanced the retention of historic elements with the need for a more functional floor plan accommodating current classroom needs. Rehabilitation included building envelope and window improvements, HVAC, electrical, plubing, and life safety systems, and ADA improvements. Energy efficiency and improved insulation values were addressed, and extensive HazMat abatement and selective demolition was performed to minimize unforeseen conditions.
