Kelly Custom Builders has created beautiful custom homes for Lake Norman area homeowners since 1993.  During nearly 20 years of continuous operations we have completed more than 25 new home builds, 15 renovations, and 10 commercial projects for dozens of very satisfied clients.

We are first, and foremost, a local builder.  To ensure quality control and builder accessibility, we accept projects in the Lake Norman area exclusively and only take on 1-2 projects at a time.  This means that every client gets our full attention. Owner Ray Kelly got his start in the corporate world, and as such, has a strong background in and appreciation for solid project management in addition to his proven building experience.  This creates a strong foundation for your project’s success.

At Kelly Custom Builders, every person involved in your project – from owner Ray Kelly to the office team to our trusted craftsmen – understands that we are building for our neighbors; and we take that responsibility to heart.   As a result, our clients often become repeat customers and their referrals have kept us busy for two decades.  In addition, we have been honored by the Lake Norman Homebuilders Association with their “Best of the Lake” award 3 times to date.
