Scope Of Work
The renovation to the Four Seasons Hotel, the first hotel to receive a five-star rating in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, included demolition of existing rooms as well as installation and integration of new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, telephone and data and fire-suppression systems, all while keeping the hotel in full service. Hotel suites received new high-end finishes, such as millwork, tile and light fixtures; structural repairs required a reinforced carbon fiber epoxy system to maintain the structural integrity of the building. The project included mechanical upgrades to rooftop fans and individual suite fan coil units as well as the replacement of main mechanical piping, while work at the front entrance of the hotel consisted of removing and replacing existing entry ceiling, lights and brick pavers. Further, abatement of mold and asbestos upon detection consisted of removing 50 to 75 percent of contaminated materials.
