Kevin M. Kearney is a general contractor with more than 30 years experience in commercial and residential construction involving apartment buildings and complexes, HOAs, office buildings, public space, manufacturing facilities, commercial farming, restaurants, and high-end homes. Kevin applies his construction knowledge to each stage of the legal process. He frequently provides expert witness testimony and acts as a construction legal expert in cases involving: construction defect and cost analysis, code enforcement, standard of care, HOA disputes, subrogation, illegal units, and San Francisco housing laws.
His unique qualifications are built on a foundation of hands-on construction work. After working in the building industry to fund his undergraduate and master’s degrees, he went on to found a general contracting firm. Since 1980, Kearney & O’Banion has been a trusted general contractor and construction management firm serving the San Francisco Bay Area. Under his leadership, the firm has generated revenues in excess of $200 million.
He has testified in more than 52 construction cases. He has served as legal expert in more than 120 construction cases, and he has been deposed more than 200 times. His case involvement begins by investigating and identifying construction issues in dispute and continues through to testifying at trial.
Kevin is a licensed contractor with the state of California. His firm is located in Petaluma, California, after previously being based in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood for nearly three decades.
