Scope Of Work

As the general contractor for the Timken Commons project at Timken High School, Knoch Corporation’s charge primarily consisted of bringing two buildings together to form one. A commons area acted as the connector and housed a food court-style cafeteria, bookstore and a credit union. Much of this construction took place during the school year so great efforts were made to ensure construction did not impact teachers and students. Particularly challenging was a 195 foot long mural carefully transplanted from the original Timken High School and embedded into the walls of the commons area for all to view. Additions to the Commons included theatrical stages, an indoor running track and an outdoor amphitheater.
