Kevin joined The Weitz Company in 1999, serving in numerous operational and executive leadership roles before being named president and CEO on October 1, 2017. Prior to assuming overall leadership of the company, he held the positions of chief operating officer (2017) and president of the Commercial business unit (2014-2016).

Kevin is a construction engineer and is active in many industry association groups, including the Construction Industry Round Table and Associated General Contractors of America.

As director of human resources for The Weitz Company, Krista oversees recruitment, selection, employee relations, compliance and benefits. She began her career with Weitz in 2015, starting as a human resources business partner for the Commercial business segment.

Krista, a 2008 graduate of Iowa State University, has since spent the majority of her career working in human resources in the construction industry.

As chief operating officer, Shane oversees all items related to construction and the overall effectiveness of The Weitz Company’s ability to deliver projects that exceed clients’ expectations. His responsibilities range from staffing assignments; project plan development; cost and schedule analysis; employee training; and owner and subcontractor negotiations. Everything Shane manages ensures clients receive the best possible value on their construction projects.

Ryan serves as general counsel for The Weitz Company and is the organization’s chief legal officer responsible for guiding all legal matters, including contract development and review, claims management and insurance. He is licensed to practice law in Iowa and Florida. In addition to his work experience in construction, administrative and labor law, Ryan worked as a civil engineer before joining Weitz. He is a licensed professional engineer in Iowa (civil engineering).

Outside of his role at Weitz, Ryan is an officer in the Iowa Army National Guard in which he serves as a JAG.

As the leader of our business development efforts, Jim is responsible for ensuring clients receive the best possible value on their construction projects. His primary focus is to guarantee clients’ expectations are met without compromise. Being an officer of the company, Jim is able to make a commitment on behalf of The Weitz Company and allocate resources to follow through on them.

In additional to business development, Jim has also served in various project management and operational roles with Weitz since joining the company in 2006. His educational background includes an aerospace engineering degree from the University of Florida.

Jeremy Marron is a Certified Public Accountant and joined Weitz in 2005. He has nearly 20 years of financial and accounting experience in the public and private sectors as well as the construction industry. His expertise within The Weitz Company includes accounting; reporting; financing; banking; taxation; insurance and mergers; and acquisitions.
