Barry Klassy's Bio

President and CEO, Barry Klassy has been with Kroeschell since 1997 and brings to the company leadership a vast amount of experience in custom MEP retrofit/replacement projects, plan and spec competitive bid MEP projects and he specializes in fast track design/build MEP projects. Barry also has extensive experience in high purity stainless steel pharmaceutical water piping and healthcare facilities MEP infrastructure upgrade projects.
In 2010, Barry started working on federal design/build projects with the United States Airforce Medical Support Agency (AFMSA) both domestically and internationally as the Program Manager for Kroeschell. Over the years he has also been instrumental in maintaining relationships with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, NORESCO, the Kirlin Group and their joint venture partners as well as Kroeschell’s joint venture partnerships with Eagle Eye Electric – A Bering Straits Company and CB Facility Solutions, which has enabled Kroeschell to continue to fulfill design/build MEP infrastructure projects with the federal government both locally and on a national level.
Barry graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Illinois, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri.

COO & Executive Vice President/Corporate Risk Manager, Dave, has been Kroeschell’s Corporate Risk Manager since he joined the Kroeschell family in 1993. While at Kroeschell, he has been responsible for the risk management of several divisions involving as many as 450+ employees encompassing many different employment trades. He is responsible for procurement and negotiation of all related business insurance, alternative risk financing, claims management and litigation.
His article “Safety…EMR” was published in the ASA – Construction Connection and he was the Guest Speaker at the Society of Risk Management Consultants in Vancouver, Canada. Prior to joining Kroeschell, he was the Safety Coordinator for Welch Drywall Company. Dave received an Associate of Science Degree from Elgin Community College, a Bachelors of Science from Northern Illinois University and a Masters of Business Administration from Lake Forest College.
Greg Salzman's Bio

Chief Financial Officer, Greg Salzman has been with Kroeschell since 2006 when he joined the company as its Controller. Prior to Kroeschell, he spent 16 years working as an accounting executive for a range of companies. He has been integral in every aspect of accounting for Kroeschell’s divisions and responsible for both internal and external reporting. Greg was named Kroeschell’s CFO in 2018. As CFO, Greg has maintained his responsibilities for all reporting and has since joined Kroeschell’s Executive Committee, advising on corporate governance.
Greg passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in Indiana and received his BS in Accounting from Indiana University.
Ken Schuette's Bio

Executive Vice President of Kroeschell Engineering and has been with the company since 1987. Ken manages the building automation and control engineering department. His team will perform design-build and project management for building automation and energy-related projects.
Since 2008, Ken has been instrumental in developing and managing large design-build energy metering projects for the US Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA) at locations across the United States, VA Hospitals and University of Illinois at Chicago campus.
Ken has worked closely with Ameresco and Noresco, large ESCO companies to bring building automation and energy metering projects to completion.
In addition, Ken manages his team to perform design, drafting, project management, programming, commissioning and electrical installation of building automation projects.
He earned the Illinois ASHRAE Chapter’s Excellence in Engineering Award in 1998 and received his Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the DeVry Institute of Technology.

President of Kroeschell Rocky Mountain, Matthew Gum brought his 18 plus years of experience to Kroeschell in early 2015 and started as the Federal Operations Program Manager. He has vast experience with prime contracting, government contracts, design build construction, plan and spec construction, healthcare construction, tenant finish construction, small business development, joint ventures and general contracting.
In 2015 Matthew started Kroeschell’s General Contracting division which is based out of Colorado Springs, CO. The Rocky Mountain Division has continued to experience healthy growth over the past 3 years and is expanding into several markets.
Matthew has also been instrumental in the creation and management of the Kroeschell/Eagle Eye (KEE) Joint Venture along with developing nationwide opportunities and creating processes to meet all SBA requirements. Currently he is the Quality Control Director for the KEE JV.
Matthew also holds a Colorado Journeyman Electrical License.

Mike McDonough joined Kroeschell as a Project Manager in 2006, becoming Vice President in 2011. With a background in electrical engineering, he coordinates and manages electrical aspects of medical projects for the U.S. Air Force. He earned the Illinois ASHRAE Chapter’s Energy Achievement Award in 1985 and is a licensed supervising electrician in Chicago. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Bradley University.

Rory has over 23 years experience working at Kroeschell, working first as an assistant project manager. In his current position, he manages design/build projects for a variety of clients. This includes pricing, developing engineered drawings and specifications, selecting sub-contractors, selecting equipment and procurement, as well as field visits to manage the progress. He earned the Illinois ASHRAE Chapter’s Excellence in Engineering Award in 1998. Rory earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Sid attended the University of Illinois from 1958 to 1965. During that period, he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1962, with a second major in Accounting. In 1965 he received his Law Degree (JD). After graduating, he participated in the Secretary of State’s Advisory Committee to revise the Illinois Business Corporation Act of 1983, authored chapters, and participated in seminars for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and was the Chairman of the Corporation Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Sid’s practice has focused upon corporate, real estate, estate planning, and tax matters.
Sid was in the United States Naval Reserve from 1962 thru 1970, and attained the Rank of Lieutenant Senior Grade.
Sid began performing legal services for Kroeschell immediately after becoming an attorney. His father had been representing Kroeschell since the middle 1930’s. He began attending Board Meetings of Kroeschell as General Counsel in the late 1960’s and has acted in that capacity since then. His responsibilities with Kroeschell have continuously involved the oversight and management of legal activities, as well as participation with, and assistance to, the chief financial officer. He went from pure “outside counsel” to a part-time employee of Kroeschell in 1990, and is currently a Vice President and Assistant Secretary.
In addition to his role as General Counsel, Sid directly participated in the formation of the Kroeschell ESOP in 1987, and the creation of Ontario Indemnity Group SPC, the Company’s Captive Insurance Company in Grand Cayman. He incorporated, and is the Managing Member of the 3206 Kennicott LLC. He also has participated in the structuring of the smooth transition of four different Owner/Management groups since he began in 1965, including changing the management structure from Board Managed to Executive Committee Managed.

Tony brings over 25 years of diversified experience to Kroeschell, including construction management, building management, building engineering and building maintenance. He joined Kroeschell in 2003 as a business development executive. As President he works with service managers regarding staffing needs, assists service technicians in developing repair proposals, solicits bids from sub contractors on turnkey projects and assists in the development of customer relations and retention programs.

William has over 35 years of industrial operations experience, and has been with Kroeschell for over 20 years. As President of Kroeschell Operations, he manages all major accounts including all on-site staff. Prior to his current role, William served as a Vice President, Assistant Vice President, Site Superintendent and Process Maintenance Superintendent with Kroeschell.
William currently serves on the Board of Directors at Kroeschell Inc. Before working at Kroeschell, he worked as an Electro-mechanical Maintenance Repairman for Lucas Automotive and, before that, as an Industrial Electrician for PepsiCo, both in Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from California Pacific University.
