Scope Of Work
Hamilton Library involved removal replacement HVAC equipment controls on all five floors Hamilton Library Phase II, totaling 131,000 SF. Strict phasing was required, as library remained in operation during renovation. Hamilton Library houses a large collection books that could not be subject to adverse conditions high or unstable temperature or relative humidity, dust, theft, or damage.
Kiewit coordinated all book relocation sealing books that couldn’t be moved with University Library. scope consisted removal replacement 10 air handling units, ductwork, chilled water piping, and related accessories. Scope also included removal/replacement two supply fans one exhaust fan. Kiewit provided new electronic controls connected to existing EMCS. included book relocation , selective demolition, concrete, structural steel, metal fabrications, elastomeric non-slip coating, fluid applied roof system, flashing sheet metal, sealants caulking, metal support systems, acoustical spray insulation, gypsum board, acoustical suspended ceilings, painting, removal disposal paint, removal disposal polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB’s) mercury, hiring a third party air monitoring contractor, mechanical requirements, insulation mechanical systems, chilled water condensate piping, air conditioning ventilation, ductwork ductwork accessories, direct digital system, testing balancing air water systems, electrical , lighting refurbishment, other miscellaneous related .
