Scope Of Work
The Dallas Fire Station No. 6 project, built for the City of Dallas, included the new construction of a 13,287 square foot fire station located in Dallas, TX. The facility functions as a replacement for a fire station originally built in the early 1950's, which served the community between the downtown and fairground areas of the city. The fire station was constructed utilizing a structural foundation, streel frame, an exterior consisting of masonry block and cement panels, and a modified bitumen roofing system. The project also features ambient lighting, high ceilings in the corridors, and large overhanging roofs in the apparatus bays and back porch. The fire station achieved LEED Platinum Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for the incorporation of solar power, geothermal HVAC systems, LED lighting, and sustainable irrigation systems. The Dallas Fire Station No. 6 now effectively serves the community with a state-of-the art facility for firefighters and paramedics.
