Our Story

Al Bancroft founded the company in 1977. His son, Mark Bancroft, purchased the company in 2004.  Bancroft Contracting Corporation provides a comprehensive range of construction and industrial maintenance services to a variety of markets.  Customers include pulp and paper manufacturers, power generating facilities, cement and plastics manufacturers and many other industrial and commercial customers.  Bancroft also places thousands of cubic yards of  reinforced concrete every season.  These complex structures include dams, fish passages, and industrial and commercial foundations.

Bancroft Contracting Corporation employs a flexible workforce of seasoned construction professionals who choose to work in a merit shop environment.  Bancroft’s construction professionals are experts in at least one construction craft and most work capably in several.  This flexibility allows Bancroft to self-perform every aspect of the projects we undertake.

Crafts represented include code and structural welders, millwrights, pipe fitters, industrial electricians, riggers, ironworkers, form, frame and finish carpenters, equipment operators, fence installers,  and skilled laborers.

Bancroft Contracting Corporation works continuously throughout New England. We are available on short notice to mobilize to the Mid-Atlantic region.  Occasionally, Bancroft has performed services nationally.

Since 1977 Bancroft Contracting Corporation has developed its reputation for relationship-based service.  At Bancroft, we’re proud of our ability to respond quickly, professionally, and effectively to your construction demands.  Our company is built on repeat business.  Our goal with every project is to develop a continuing mutually beneficial relationship with every customer.
