Field Surveyor
As a field surveyor I am responsible for all aspects of surveying field work. This includes reconnaissance, traverse set up, measurements (both as an instrument operator and rod man), keeping field notes, and monumenting property corners. I have also participated in various office related tasks such as deed research and the preparation of abutters list. The position of field surveyor demands a competency in the methods of surveying as well as superior customer service skill. Face to face contact with clients, abutters, and the general public are a regular part of the job and necessitate courteous and professional interactions.
