Scope Of Work
In 2009, Browning developed and constructed three buildings totaling 219,600 square feet including 14,000 square feet of lab space for Eli Lilly and Company’s animal health division, Elanco. In 2013, Browning added 78,240 square feet of office and a 14,000 square foot “work cafe”. The site is located off State Road 9 in Greenfield, Indiana in Progress Park, a business and life sciences park being developed by Browning. TENANT Elanco is a global research-based company that develops and markets products to improve animal health and animal food production in more than 100 countries. Elanco employs more than 2,000 people worldwide, with offices in more than 30 countries, and net sales of close to $1 billion in 2007. Elanco is a division of Eli Lilly and Company, a leading innovation-driven pharmaceutical corporation. CITY OF GREENFIELD The City of Greenfield was instrumental in resolving a number of site and infrastructure issues that had to be overcome including the relocation of a major gas line. Browning worked with the City of Greenfield on a complex Tax Increment Financing and tax abatement structure in order to lure Elanco to the site. Additionally, the design schedule was compressed to four months so that construction could begin on time.
