Scope Of Work
Browning developed this 20,000 square foot building for Harrison College, formerly Indiana Business College. The site is located off of Interstate 71 in Grove City, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. The facility includes the following features: • Three computer labs • Two medical labs • Ten classrooms • Administrative offices TENANT Harrison College is a nationally accredited institution, which began in 1902. Harrison offers classroom and online career-focused education with students earning associate and bachelor degrees. Harrison has 12 campuses throughout Indiana and now one in Grove City, Ohio. Students may choose degrees in Health Sciences, Veterinary Technology, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Business, Nursing, Hospitality Management, as well as the college’s culinary division, the Chef’s Academy. CHALLENGES • Locate a preferred site in the Columbus area with interstate visibility and access to retail amenities • Maximizing the site to handle parking lot detention while achieving the maximum number of parking spaces • Arrange and secure the debt financing and equity participation in the midst of an exceptionally challenging financial environment • Construct the facility on a highly accelerated time frame of six months
