Scope Of Work
Seng-Liang Wang Hall is designed to be a LEED-certified state-of-the-art mixed-use academic, research and commercial facility located at the heart of the Purdue University campus. Slated for completion in July 2014, the building will house research and laboratory space for Purdue’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as commercially-leased retail and office space for Purdue University. The facility includes the following features and amenities: CHALLENGES • Structuring a repeatable public/private development model that achieves the objectives of all stakeholders, including Purdue University, Purdue Research Foundation, the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University donors, private investors and commercial tenants • Designing a privately-owned facility that is both an institutional-grade compliment to the Purdue University campus as well as a commercially successful mixed-use project • Incorporating extensive campus-wide master planning concepts – including vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow and building design and performance standards – into a privately-developed mixed-use project. • Providing financing around significant donations to the foundation
