Scope Of Work
LMCCI completed construction of a new state-of-the-art 2,000+ student comprehensive high school located in a rapidly developing area of North Indio. This new $108 million state-of-the-art high school helped ease the overcrowding at the District’s three existing high schools. LMCCI provided Program/Construction Management to assist in the development and design of the school. Through constructability reviews, in-depth cost estimates and value engineering; LMCCI was able to work with the Architect and consulting engineers to maintain the project budget. During this two and a half year project, LMCCI controlled the overall change order costs to less than 1% through cost control measures and sound construction management practices.
Because of the remote location of this school, new off-site serving infrastructures including electrical, sewer, water, storm drainage, and gas, cable TV and phone systems had to be installed to provide service to the new campus. During this construction period, traffic through the region had to be maintained which required extensive coordination and interaction with city departments and the various servicing utility companies during this phase of the project. The scope of work included: 86 classrooms, science and technology center, communications and technology-focused centers, 450 seat performing arts theater, large gymnasium, practice gymnasium, multipurpose room, media center, aquatic complex, concrete stadium, concession buildings.
