Contractor: This three story Federal Courthouse is in Albany, GA. This historic three-story building with a mechanical penthouse is framed with reinforced concrete and some steel framing at the roof, sheathed in stone. The rotunda entrance expresses federal courthouse and is dignified and elegant, but modern enough to stand in harmony with its neighbors. There are courtrooms on both sides of a central service core and chambers and court-related functions outboard of these. spaces and waiting rooms across the front of the building. The judges chambers and the detainees restricted circulation make up three completely separated circulation systems that never have to cross.
