Scope Of Work

The El Centro BOSS III contract was part of KBR’s overall three-contract, 15-year provision of full base operating support services at NAF El Centro • Services included utilities maintenance, buildings and structures, HVAC, transportation, pest control, housing maintenance, range maintenance, ground electronics, transient aircraft services, supply services, welfare and recreation maintenance, swimming pool maintenance, combined bachelor housing support, food services, SEAL base maintenance, and ground support equipment maintenance • KBR also supported special events, including the Blue Angels shows, changes of command, and VIP ceremonies by installing and removing podiums, stages, carpeting and other associated structure • The original contract was awarded in 1991, and was completed five years later in 1996. KBR won BOSS II and then BOSS III in 2002. • Under the third follow-on contract, KBR provided approximately 1,500 military base personnel with facilities operations, maintenance, and repair services. The customer population consisted of military and civilian staff and contractors. • KBR managed the work of several primary subcontractors: MSA Exterminators, Inc. for pest control; Adair Striping, Inc, Cyclone Surface Cleaning, Inc., and Consley & Montigny Co., Inc for maintenance of paved areas; TDI for work control; and Evergreen for weed control.
