Scope Of Work
This project signifies strong collaboration and partnership between the Detroit Pistons and Henry Ford Health System, the city of Detroit and its surrounding communities, and the entire Brinker family of five companies who along with joint venture partner, Christman, helped construct the foremost, state-of-the-art performance training and athletic medicine center in the country. The impressive new facility comprises three structures that give the impression of one contiguous development.
The 183,000 square foot Detroit Pistons structure serves as the new team practice facility and corporate headquarters and accommodates the practice and training needs for players and staff, office space for basketball operations, coaching, and administration. It is home to numerous state-of-the-art amenities, including multiple basketball courts, advanced training rooms, innovative player locker room and lounge, hydro + cryogenic treatment systems, film study and meeting rooms, a production studio, and rooms for media and interviews. Additionally, the Pistons Performance Center will incorporate a ground floor retail component to engage with the urban and pedestrian nature of the site.
