Scope Of Work
Every classroom in Clarke County High School has natural light. As built, the school can handle 884 students, but to allow for growth, core facilities (media center, cafeteria, auditorium and gymnasium) were constructed to accommodate up to 1,000 students.
The organizational strategy of the floor plan was designed with a wide linear student commons. The result is a dynamic and functional solution: The daylight-infused “main street” bisects the building floor plan, organizing all the major assembly areas of the building together and separating the classroom instructional areas.
Shockey completed the project below budget and ahead of schedule.
