Scope Of Work
The Cooley Middle School project included the new construction of a two-story, 138,000 square foot educational campus located in Gilbert, AZ. The facility supports approximately 1,200 middle school students and an early childhood development center for 300 children ages three to five. The educational campus was constructed utilizing a slab-on-grade concrete foundation on a steel and masonry structural frame with a spray foam roof. An exterior insulation finish system, metal panels, and a masonry veneer comprised the exterior. The project also features indoor and outdoor secured play areas, classrooms, laboratories, connecting student bridge, and a gymnasium in addition to a secured courtyard containing a microclimate of mature native trees, shade sails, and large building mass overhangs surrounding a covered dining area, amphitheater, and sports courts for basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball. Other features consist of fully illuminated baseball, softball, soccer, and football fields and outdoor track completed the educational campus. The Cooley Middle School project now provides a motivational academic environment serving the Elona Ranch community.
