Dave Hartley's Bio
David Hartley serves as President of Capital Welding, Inc. David relocated to Maryland from upstate New York in 1979. For the next 15 years David worked in steel fabrication -- learning all aspects of the steel industry from shop drawings to final inspection. In 1993 David teamed with Joseph Bowling to start Capital Welding, Inc. In David's words ... "Providing a superior workplace and quality products has always been Capital Welding's priority. We want to provide our customers and employees the very best opportunity for success."
Clarence Richardson's Bio
Clarence 'Lucky' Richardson brings to Capital Welding over 26 years of experience in the steel industry. He began his career right out of high school as a shop helper at a local metals company. As time progressed, Lucky broadened his experience and increased his knowledge of our industry as he held a number of positions including estimator, shop fabricator, field foreman, and purchasing agent. For the past two years, Lucky has been part of the Capital Welding team and is now serving as a Project Manager.
Dale Delahay's Bio
Dale's interest in the construction industry began early in life as he took several vocational classes in high school. Upon graduating in 1985, Dale entered the steel fabrication and installation business as a laborer and shop iron worker. As time progressed, Dale assumed more and more responsibilities as he was promoted to Shop Foreman then to Project Manager. In 1997, Dale was hired by Capital Welding, Inc. He serves as one of our Project Managers, specializing in medium to large construction projects.
Joseph Bowling's Bio
Joseph Bowling serves as Treasurer of Capital Welding, Inc. Joe is a native of Southern Maryland with many ties to the D.C. Metropolitan area, as well as the local business community. He began his career in the steel industry early in life as he worked for a local metals company. With an eye on starting his own business, in 1993 the opportunity presented itself. Partnering with David Hartley, Joe and David took the necessary steps to form Capital Welding. Since the beginning, Joe's focus has been to forge a company whose reputation is based on professionalism, workmanship, customer service and quality products.
Michael Baguley's Bio
Mike began his career in the steel industry in 1975 as a detailer at a local iron works company. Mike has increased his knowledge, experience, skills, and responsibilities over the past 33 years. He has served as a detailer, estimator and project manager for miscellaneous and structural projects. Prior to coming to Capital Welding, Mike was hired by a Pennsylvania welding company to establish a new Maryland branch office to serve the Baltimore and Washington area. Six years ago Mike brought his many years of experience to Capital Welding where he currently serves as one of our Project Managers.
Roy Coleman's Bio
Roy is one of the original employees of Capital Welding, Inc. having worked for our company for over 15 years. In that time, he has served in many capacities, including certified welder, structural fabricator, estimator, crew leader, field foreman, safety director and as a draftsman. For the past seven years, Roy has served as one of Capital Welding's Project Managers.

Ronald Smythers's Bio
Ron comes to Capital Welding with over 32 years of experience in the steel fabrication & erection industry. He has held positions ranging from machine operator to project manager. In his words, "I don’t believe that there is much I have not done or seen in the structural steel / miscellaneous metal business." For the past 12 years, Ron's extensive experience has been put to good use as Chief Estimator for Capital Welding.
W.T. Jowett's Bio
In January 2006, Chip Jowett began working for Capital Welding, Inc. Although this represents a relatively short amount of time with our Company, Chip brought over 29 years of experience in the construction trade. He has held numerous positions ranging from laborer to President of Jowett, Inc. His extensive knowledge of all aspects of construction has served our customers well, as he serves as the Purchasing Agent for Capital Welding.

Robert Shortt's Bio
Eight years ago, Capital Welding hired Bob Shortt to create and staff a department for Detail Operations. With 27 years of experience in the steel industry, Bob was well suited for this task. He established the standards and procedures for Capital Welding's detailing processes. As the Detailing Manager, Bob is now in charge of a staff of three full-time employees. With his keen interest in computer technology, Bob has also become the Company’s unofficial "Computer Guru" and is the company's point man for all computer issues.

Chris Raley's Bio
Chris has served as Capital Welding's Safety Director for the past 10 years. He is well suited for this important assignment with over 22 years experience in the steel industry. He has held a number of jobs, including shop helper, fabricator, certified welder, jobsite foreman and shop manager. Chris has responsibility for all aspects of company safety. He works diligently to stay current on all safety-related issues, conducts monthly safety meetings with co-workers, and performs frequent hazard inspections and safety assessments to ensure that Capital Welding operates in a safe and sound environment.
Glen Taylor's Bio
Sarge Taylor brings to the table over 21 years experience in the structural steel and miscellaneous metals business. He has been a member of the Capital Welding team for the past 9 years. Sarge is in charge of final inspection and quality control over every steel structure that leaves Capital Welding and for ensuring that each section meets the customer's specifications. There's not a single steel beam, nor a frame, support or grate; not even a bolt or weld that leaves our plant without the watchful and experienced eye as Sarge gives the final OK for shipping.
Judy Truesdell's Bio
All successful organizations seem to have that one person who keeps everyone straight. Judy Truesdell fills this role at Capital Welding. With over 25 years in construction accounting, Judy is well versed with all aspects of financial management and accounting procedures. Judy brings to Capital Welding an MBA in Management and BS in Accounting and with her education, experience and personal skills, Judy serves our customers, vendors and staff extremely well.
