Scope Of Work

The Owner hired a design build company to rehabilitate a former large garden center into a medical center. After the project was completed by a well known Design-Build firm from Albany, NY, he hired local firm Minuta Architecture to review the work that was completed. There were numerous areas in this medical facility that did not meet ADA compliance such as bathrooms drinking fountains and service counters. We found gaping areas in the thermal envelope that had zero insulation on gable end walls and many other items. The owner thought by hiring a Design-Build company he would get the project completed on-time and on-budget. What he found is they took numerous shortcuts and turned over a building to him that was costing him money to heat, cool and bring into compliance.
