Scope Of Work
Historic plaster restoration of an above ground pool built in 1929 for the City of Tampa. This type of pool construction was very popular in the Ohio, Pennsylvania & New York region of the country as the dressing rooms and mechanical areas could be easily accessed.
There were numerous plaster issues on the exterior walls of the building, there was a lot of cracking, spalling of the concrete and missing ornamental details, not to mention very poor workmanship on earlier attempts to repair the cracks, which we had to repair. We opened the cracks back to viable plaster and used simitar plaster materials to those used in the 1920's to make the necessary repairs, repaired and replaced the damaged concrete, and recreated the missing ornamental details around the building.
The pool located on Davis Island is now a centerpiece for the community as families are once again enjoying this very unique and historic pool.
